This article Basel IT Cost Higher Than Projected - Computerworld talks about BASEL II being more expensive to implement than IT departments expected. I suspect this is becuase most of them have not adopted a suitable technology platform and have either been suckered into a "BASEL in a box" solution or are trying to automate risk-based decisioning with traditional tools.
