Insurance and business rules

I just posted a little summary of Auto Club Group's use of business rules for underwriting. Their use of business rules is a classic. For those of you interested in how you can use business rules in insurance I highly recommend their case study. For those of you looking to use analytics AND business rules, check out Donald Light's (Celent) piece on Transforming Insurance Underwriting.

I was impressed by the Auto Club Group case study. A good example of technology (underwriting business rules) enabling some very dramatic results to a business driver (need for growth in the independent agent channel)
