Thoughts on the Teradata Conference

I saw this article by Charles Garry today in CIO Insight. Like Charles I spent the week at the Teradata Partners conference and like him was struck by how business focused the IT folks at the show were.

I was also struck by their passion for improving the way their companies did business by leveraging its data assets and by their focus on data as an asset. It is no wonder that these folks are some of the most ready to consider an EDM approach - not just business rules to operationalize their decisions but predictive analytics, based on real-time data, to improve those decisions. A great bunch of folks.
